Body Acceptance Week

Body Acceptance Week is an initiative by CAPS (Counseling and Psychological Services) that celebrate self-love at Northwestern University. For the past several years, the campaign and event had focused on the "You are Beautiful" sticker movement that started in Chicago. Finding the message powerful but also very female-biased, I wanted to create something that was more inclusive and unique to the Northwestern community. To convey the message that students were not alone in their body image struggles, I wanted to create a way for students to both express themselves and respond to one another in a way that was on their own terms. This led to the creation of an interactive poster piece that consisted of stories and statements written by Northwestern students. In addition to the poster I also designed four statement stickers that other students could use to react to their peers' stories.
